Once PentagonMail Assistant is configured with the appropriate filing locations by your company administrator, these filing locations appear as tiles in the PentagonMail Assistant panel that typically docks on the right side of your Outlook.
To file messages, select one or more messages from your mailbox and then either double-click the desired tile or click the envelope icon on the tile. If the location you want is not visible, you can either scroll up or down the list or type part of the location’s name in the “Search Locations” box.
Filing subsequent messages
The software learns your behaviours, and the more you use it, the better it becomes at helping you to file messages. It does this by examining the selected message and comparing it with similar messages you have filed. Items at the top of the list can show up to 6 orange bars to reflect the confidence it has in the suggested location.
This results in time savings when filing messages, making the process even more efficient.

Filing messages as you send them
PentagonMail Assistant will prompt you to file messages as you send them. Compose your email as normal, and when you hit ‘Send,’ you will be offered a list of locations. You can filter the list and either double-click anywhere on the tile to file to the desired location or click the envelope icon. Click the ‘Send Only’ button if you don’t wish to file the message.
