In regards to Autodesk software users, see below a number of common compliance issues users come across and how to avoid them:
Not Uninstalling and Signing Out
If you cancel your subscription, you should sign out and ideally uninstall all the software you no longer have access to. This includes both current and older versions of the software, as well as any home-use applications or installations on multiple devices.
Too Many Sign Ins and Concurrent Usage
An active Autodesk Subscription allows you to sign in and use the software on up to three devices simultaneously, but only one device can be used at a time. Be sure to sign out of Autodesk software on any old devices that are no longer needed, in use, or repurposed to avoid any issues.
Over-Use of licences or Under Subscription
Single User Autodesk Licenses are intended for specific individuals and should not be used with a shared user account. If your usage is limited, you can unassign and reassign licenses as necessary, but each assignment must be to an individual named account for each user accessing the software.
Software Piracy
Software piracy remains the leading cause of non-compliance. Unauthorized software often includes malware and alterations that jeopardise your safety, your work, and your organisation. Always buy software from a certified Autodesk Partner, and if you have any doubts, please ask.
Mis-Use of Educational Subscriptions
If you work with students using educational versions of Autodesk software, these versions must not be used for commercial purposes. Anyone needing to use the application within your organisation must have their own commercial subscription.
Previous Version Rights Used For Additional Licenses
With an active subscription to Autodesk, you can install and access versions up to five releases back and receive support for up to three versions of the software included in your current entitlement. Previous version rights do not provide additional licenses and are intended for use by the named user of the active subscription.
