Download Previous Versions of Autodesk Software (2026 Update)
Autodesk subscribers can download eligible previous versions of their software directly from Autodesk Account. In most cases, there is no need to request a separate licence, as previous version rights are included with an active subscription.
Before You Start
To access previous versions, you must have:
- An active Autodesk subscription or Flex entitlement
- Access to Autodesk Account
- Permission to download software (if managed by your company administrator)
Most Autodesk subscriptions include access to the current release plus up to three previous versions, depending on the product and licensing type.
How to Download a Previous Version
Step 1: Sign in to Autodesk Account
Sign in to your Autodesk Account at Autodesk Account Manager.
Step 2: Locate Your Product
Navigate to Products and Services and find the Autodesk product you wish to download.
For Industry Collections or AutoCAD toolsets, select View All Items to display individual products.
Step 3: Open Downloads
Vælge View Downloads.
Step 4: Select the Required Version
From the Version drop-down menu, choose the release you require (for example, 2025, 2024, or 2023).
Step 5: Download and Install
Choose your preferred download method and follow the installation prompts.
You do not need to uninstall the current version before installing a previous version.
Need a Version Older Than Three Years?
For software versions older than those available in Autodesk Account, Autodesk may provide access through the Autodesk Virtual Agent (AVA), subject to product availability and licensing eligibility.
Important Notes
- Previous version rights are only available while your subscription remains active.
- Not all Autodesk products offer the same number of previous versions.
- Educational users can access the current version and eligible previous releases through the Autodesk Education plan.
- Most Autodesk products maintain backwards compatibility, allowing newer versions to open files created in older releases.
