Our BIM & Digital Integration Consultants have handpicked their favourite features, ensuring you’re at the forefront of the latest technological advancements.

(1) Smart Blocks: Search and Convert

With the assistance of Autodesk AI, rapidly search your drawings for objects to convert into instances of a newly defined block, an existing or recently used block, or a suggested block from your Block Libraries.

(2) Smart Blocks: Object Detection Tech Preview

Enhance design efficiency and save time on drawing cleanup by using Autodesk AI to automatically identify and convert objects into blocks. This feature is currently a technology preview, with development currently in progress and continuous improvements expected.

(3) Activity Insights

Stay informed with access to crucial design data through comprehensive multi-user event logs. Track over 35 activity types, including version history and file comparisons, for files managed on Autodesk Docs, stored locally, or hosted on third-party cloud storage.

(4) Markup Import from Autodesk Docs

You can now import and connect PDF markups from Autodesk Docs. Once synchronized, these markups will continuously update in a Trace layer in AutoCAD, allowing you to review and integrate feedback seamlessly without switching between applications.

(5) Hatch

Bring clarity to your designs with convenient updates to the familiar HATCH command. Add texture to your drawings through patterns, fills and paths – without pre-defined shapes or enclosed boundaries.

(6) ArcGIS® Basemaps

Anchor your site plans with real-world geographic data using Esri’s ArcGIS® Basemaps. Access five high-resolution basemaps, including satellite and aerial imagery, OpenStreetMaps, and street views, along with light and dark-grey monochrome map styles.

(1) Toposolid Enhancements

With this feature being introduced last year, this year brought some key enhancements to assist in creating and modifying Toposolids. They include:

  • Excavate Tool – This tool allows the user to excavate the Toposolid for your modelling using floors, roofs, or Toposolid elements. With this update, the need for a building pad is eliminated as floors can now be used instead.
  • Shaft Opening – The ability to use a shaft opening to cut into a Toposolid has been improved, with the bottom of the shaft now respected in relation to its position within the Toposolid. Users can now use shaft elements in conjunction with Toposolids and adjust the bottom of the shaft to model conditions without the shaft element cutting all the way through the top solid element.
  • Hosting Elements – Hosting elements to a Toposolid that include cuts have seen enhancements from previous versions of Revit. Previously, hosted elements such as railings or planting elements, would not attach to the surface of a cut Toposolid. With Revit 2025, hosted elements now recognise the cut surface as a host.

(2) Sheet Collections

The Sheet Collections feature enables you to assign any sheet in the model into flexible groupings. This supports custom organization that can be referenced across Revit (such as in views, schedules, families and filters). The parameters “Sheet Collection” and “Referencing Sheet Collection” are now accessible for compatible view types in Revit, in addition to the existing sheet and view parameters. The Export\Print dialog includes each Sheet Collection as a dedicated display filter toggle. This is beneficial as it supports precise selection of sheets in one or more collections.

(3) Multiple Alignment

The Multiple Alignment features brings a significant improvement to assist in adding notes to your project as users can now align and distribute multiple keynotes, text notes, and tags. This will result reduce the duration speed that it takes to document your projects.

(4) Create Walls with Auto Join and Lock

Users now have the option to Join or Join/Lock walls together as they are modelled, with this accelerating the process of modelling adjacent walls.
